The Athens Dialogues and the Future Past

“The Athens Dialogues”. This is the title of the international conference on culture which takes place, beginning from today till the 27th of November, in the newly opened Onassis Cultural Center in Athens. Under the auspices of the Alexandros S. Onassis Foundation which aims to present, promote and produce Modern Greek culture, the conference targets the problems faced by modern humanity through the prism of Greek thought, as the latter was formed throughout the centuries. Within the conference, renowned scholars from the academic community worldwide – such as Hélène Ahrweiler (pictured) –  will review whether Greek cultural heritage can function as a pool of ideas inspiring solutions to challenges faced by the world today and in the future.
