A Life in Chiaroscuro

The life and times of Caravaggio, one of the most famous renaissance painters, is highlighted through a new exhibition in Rome.

More infamous rather than famous, Caravaggio seems to have lived a turbulent life as his passionate character lead him to a series of events where violent arguments, crime and debauchery were performed on a regular basis.

Certain unfortunate events of this life are now unfolded through police and other legal documents which survived as manuscripts until our times.
