Aiming to support initiatives of new artists and offer its visitors a unique museum experience, the Acropolis Museum will host the MIRfestival 2012, from 7th to 13th December 2012.

MIRfestival, an international festival of contemporary art focusing on the meeting point of performing arts and new audiovisual media, will present the innovative, interactive performance of Swedish artists Christer Lundahl and Martina Seitl, entitled “Symphony of a missing room”, at the Acropolis Museum.

The two artists have already conquered the European scene of live performance with its unique creations, which consist a universe of their own.

A guided visit in the Museum turns into an incredible adventure in the “missing room”, only existing in the visitor’s imagination. An indescribable work of art, a strange “performance” or a poetic experience about our relationship to art and to our visionary world, about memory and time.

From December 7 to 13, except Monday, there will be 5 performances daily. Entrance to the museum for the performances will be free. Only 7 visitors can take the tour at a time, so a reservation is absolutely necessary.
