Meeting the visitors’ expressed wish for interesting and substantiated knowledge, the Acropolis Museum initiates an Arts Workshop.
Archaeologists and conservators working at the Museum will make presentations of subjects related to ancient technology, the creation of works of art, the production of exact copies, and modern workshop methods for the understanding of the Museum’s exhibits.
The Arts Workshop will begin on January 15th, 2013, presenting the three-dimensional reproduction of sculptures, from Tuesday to Sunday. Two presentations will be made each day, at 11.00 and 12.00.
Due to restricted number of participants (20 for each presentation), admission to the presentation is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Visiting hours (November-March)
Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday: 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
Friday: 9.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m. Saturday/Sunday: 9.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m.
Monday: Closed
The Museum Café operates daily during the same hours as the museum (Monday closed). Every Friday it is open until 12 midnight.
