Visitors of the Byzantine and Christian Museum of Athens have the opportunity to see objects featured in the museum’s 2013 calendar, entitled “Kipos kai Paradeisos” (Garden and Paradise. Metaphor and Reality), running from January 24 until April 14, 2013. The calendar and the exhibition explore the idea of paradise.
Coming up at the Byzantine and Christian Museum is an exhibition presenting Serbian monuments and one on Messina of Sicily, as well as a tribute to Fotis Sarris, conservator-artist.
The exhibition “The Art of Bookbinding: From Byzantium to Contemporary Artistic Creation” currently running has been extended until February, 24.
The Museum is currently planning a rich programme of archaeological exhibitions for its centennial, in 2014.
