The Irish Research Council’s 2019/2020 Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship scheme is now open for applications.

This scheme offers scholarships for suitably qualified individuals to pursue a research Master’s or PhD in any discipline, at eligible higher education institutions in the Republic of Ireland. Successful applicants receive a substantial annual stipend plus a contribution to fees for up to four years. Applicants must have the support of a potential supervisor and of the HEI at which they propose to carry out their research.

The Department of Classics in the School of Histories and Humanities at Trinity College, Dublin welcomes expressions of interest from outstanding candidates proposing to apply for this scheme. Intending applicants are advised to make contact with a potential supervisor as soon as possible, bearing in mind that the School of Histories and Humanities has an internal submission deadline of Thursday 11th October 2018. The final deadline for receipt of applications by the IRC is Thursday 1st November.
