The 14th International Congress of Egyptologists will take place from 18 to 23 July 2027 in Paris. This is the first time that the French capital will host this congress, which brings together the entire international scientific community in the field of Egyptology every four years. It is organised under the auspices of the International Association of Egyptologists and benefits from the active participation of the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the Supreme Council of Antiquities. It is worth remembering that Paris is a founding place of Egyptology: it was there in 1822 that Champollion announced that he had deciphered hieroglyphics at the Académie des Inscriptions et Belles-Lettres. He went on to become the first curator of the Egyptian collections at the Louvre Museum and inaugurated the teaching of Egyptology at the Collège de France.
