An Introduction to the Greek Bronze & Classical Ages: Sites and Travellers

Wednesday, April 1, 2015

The History of Archaeology in Greece has been inextricably linked with intrepid travellers, astonishing archaeological discoveries and the fascinating personalities who dedicated themselves to their interpretation. In this lecture we will explore exciting artefacts and sites (many of which will be visited during the AAIA’s 2015 tour to Greece). These discoveries which date from the Bronze Age through to the Classical Periods continue to inspire research and interpretation up until the present day.

Dr Archondia Thanos will be offering an introductory evening lecture that provides an engaging overview of some of the most interesting sites in Greece and the intrepid travellers who visited them.

Champagne and refreshments will be served.

Cost: $25
