The 2nd Symposium of Greek Gastronomy “Food, Memory & Identity in Greece & Greek Diaspora” will be held in Crete. It will explore the ways in which Greek food shapes memory and national, regional and personal identity.
The Symposia of Greek Gastonomy are biennial weekends devoted to all aspects of Greek food and drink. Moreover, the Symposia enthusiastically encourage sessions on Cretan food and drink.
The Symposia of Greek Gastronomy are founded and organized by Mariana Kavroulaki in conjuction with the Historical, Folkore and Archaeological Society of Crete (ILAEK).
