Global Antiquities: What is Ancient History?

The public event “Global Antiquities: What is Ancient History?” will take place on Thursday, September 18. The event is jointly sponsored by the Center for the History of Liberty, the Department of Classics and Letters, and the Center for Mediterranean Archaeology and History at the University of Oklahoma.

Five of the most nationally distinguished scholars in the field will be wellcomed at the University of Oklahoma for a day of conversations about the future of ancient history and the best ways to ensure that the study of antiquity continues to be a vibrant area of research and teaching. The event is held in the auditorium of the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art, and it is free and open to the public. The schedule of events is below.
