Diros Cave

Vlychada (or Glyfada) is a large lake and land cave located in the Bay of Diros in the Mani region of the Peloponnese. Since the 1960s, it has been made accessible to the public via boats, allowing visitors to tour the chambers which are richly adorned with impressive stalagmite formations.

The undeveloped section of the cave extends through corridors several kilometers long, which are still unmapped. In this part animal remains from the Upper Pleistocene have been discovered.
