Keep Eyes On Sudan

Thursday 27 April 2023

Keep Eyes On Sudan is a hybrid panel with activists, journalists, and doctors in Sudan and London discussing the current crisis in person and online via Zoom.

In a matter of days, millions of civilians in Sudan are caught under shelling, gunfire, and aerial bombardment as competing military forces battle it out in major cities. The organizers, SOAS Rodney Collective invite the public to hear from a panel of Sudanese journalists, activists, and doctors, both in-person and via video-calling from Sudan. In this event, the participants will discuss solidarity towards our Sudanese colleagues and comrades in the midst of this crisis, the support of calls for civilian rule, and the principles of the Sudanese revolution: “freedom, peace and justice.”

In-person in the Djam Lecture Theatre, SOAS Main Building, or online via Zoom (https://bit.ly/KeepEyesOnSudan).

Registration is required for in-person attendance. Further info via Eventbrite.

Confirmed panelists in London:

  • Othaylat Suliman (Freelance journalist)
  • Mohanad Hashim (Journalist, BBC)
  • Hussam al-Mugammar (Sudan’s Doctors for Human Rights)
  • Ahmed Elleithi (Sudan Doctors Union, UK)
