The next lecture of the Numismatic Seminar will be given by Jean-Marc Doyen (Université libre de Bruxelles – Université Lille-3).
The lecture will focus on: “La numismatique ‘quantitative’ (1960-2016): une science nouvelle?”.
Jean-Marc, a world leading authority on quantitative studies and methodology of studying excavation coins will present a general overview of what has been done the last century on the field of quantitative numismatics, how statistics improved our understanding of coins etc. These are numismatic questions rarely presented and will be a great opportunity to discuss new perspectives.
Exciting results are to be presented.
The conference will be in French, discussion in English and French.
