41st International Symposium on Archaeometry (ISA)

May 15 - 21, 2016

The 41st International Symposium on Archaeometry (ISA), which will take place on May 15 – 21, 2016 in Kalamata, is a most welcome forum to present the latest data and updates of the archaeometry research and archaeological science, covering the full spectrum of topics, materials, techniques, time span and global applications.

Additionally, the 41st ISA will host two special sessions:
-Environmental Remote Monitoring for Archaeology and Cultural Heritage
-The Beginning of the Bronze Age in Eastern Mediterranean

and will run a panel discussion on  – Making history matter: The role of archaeometry in anthropocene studies – all aiming at drawing extra attention on new research and application challenges for scholars from both the humanities and science. Besides, this interdisciplinary osmosis is always one of the key-issues that the ISA symposia demonstrate.

The symposium is hosted by  the “Laboratory of Archaeometry” and the University of the Peloponnese.
