About the author

Angie Hobbs is Professor of the Public Understanding of Philosophy at the University of Sheffield. She is a Honorary Patron of The Philosophy Foundation, a Member of the World Economic Forum Global Future Council on Values, Ethics and Innovation for the 2018-9 term. She was also a judge at the 2019 Man Booker International Prize.
