The Department of Classics, within the School of History, Classics, and Archaeology of the University of Edinburgh, will support applications to the British Academy ‘s Postdoctoral Fellowship scheme in any area of study within its remit (information about staff and areas covered here ).
British Academy Fellowships application procedure
Prior to their application, applicants should contact a potential mentor in the department to discuss the application (please do also contact [email protected] at this stage).
The Department plans to let candidates know whether it will support their applications on the 2nd of September, to leave enough time for the selected candidates to fine-tune their applications (with support from the mentors and from designated internal peer-reviewers).
The Edinburgh internal deadline for draft applications to reach our Research Office is the 14th of August 2020.
Please send a two-page draft proposal, as well as an up-to-date CV with a list of publications, to [email protected], copied to [email protected].
Details of last year’s scheme can be found on this page.
Please, expect an update in late August, featuring the ideal structure for an application. However, the structure will be likely very similar to what you can already find here.
Do not hesitate to get in touch for any further information. Contact Prof. Mirko Canevaro ([email protected]).
