The Malta Classics Association (registered NGO and member of Euroclassica) invites proposals for its annual online Classics Research conference. The aim of the conference is to encourage international cooperation and contact between postgraduate students who are in the process of applying for (essentially Masters-level students) or pursuing their PhD programs in Classics and related fields, and preference will be given to candidates who fit this bill.
The conference will be held online via Zoom on Thursday 8th April (9am – 6pm) and Friday 9th April (9am – Noon). Times in CET. Each presentation should be no longer than 20 minutes (time for questions excluded). Prof. Christian Laes of the University of Manchester will be addressing the conference as keynote speaker.
Interested applicants are asked to submit a 200-250 word abstract together with a brief bio introduction via attachment to [email protected] by no later than Friday 12th March 2021. Successful applicants will be invited to publish their paper in the 2020 volume of the MCA’s peer-reviewed print journal, the Melita Classica, but intention to publish is not a necessary for a successful application to present duing the conference.
