At the 2018 Annual Meeting of the Belgian School at Athens, the director Professor Jan Driessen will report on the new results from the School’s field, research, publishing activities etc.
The BSA guest this year is Professor Em. Marc Waelkens (KU Leuven), the excavator of one of the most interesting sites in Mediterranean archaeology and one of the largest (if not the largest) excavation projects: Sagalassos! We will be travelling the alleys and streets of a city which became famous in Hellenistic and Roman times thanks to royal and imperial generosity and the ingenuity of its inhabitants.
A reception will follow at the premises of the Italian Archaeological School at Athens.
