On the occasion of the first exhibition devoted to Byzantine art at the National Gallery of Art, Washington, “Heaven and Earth: Art of Byzantium from Greek Collections”, Angelos Delivorrias, director of the Benaki Museum, and Maria Vlazaki, director general of antiquities and cultural heritage, Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Athens, Greece will give lectures introducing the exhibition.
