Space, especially urban space, has been approached until now through various fundamentally different ways that caused instant dispute. After an irresponsible concept of formalism or a barren concept of functionalism a new attitude has been developed where space is seen through an aesthetic, psychological and ideological approach. In the last thirty years the interest in an aesthetic approach towards urban space – through the analysis of the urban landscape – has increased considerably. As a result of this, a new branch of architecture and / or town planning has been created, a branch that deals with the conceptual structure of space and its aesthetic prominence. The contribution of technology to research for an acceptable environment is fundamental.Archetypal forms, investigation of the mythological dimension through which a space can be appropriated or the lay-out of the socio-aesthetic of the environment in which the major human moments l activities take place (love, death, war, peace, play, work, etc.) are significant. Through the information and meaning that landscape supplies, the human dimension of space can be approached and consequently, the use and the appropriation of space becomes feasible. Each space has to be approached from an aesthetic point of view and classified separately. This classification is of great importance to the future relation of man with the space he inhabits.
