Looking for funding for archaeological fieldwork or research? Consider apply to one of the Archaeological Institute of America’s fellowships or research grants!
Archaeologists at an early stage in their careers (within 8 years of the receipt of their PhD) should consider some of our research grants, like those from the Ellen and Charlie Steinmetz Endowment for Archaeology or the Julie Herzig Desnick Endowment for Archaeological Field Surveys. And if you are conducting research or fieldwork for your dissertation, be sure to check out our fellowships, such as the Olivia James Traveling Fellowship or our John R. Coleman Traveling Fellowship.
Applications are open now – the deadline to apply is November 1 for most awards. Questions about AIA fellowships and grants can be directed to [email protected]
