Our MA Classics and Ancient History is flexible and wide-ranging. It reflects the broad, multidisciplinary nature of the subject, which includes Latin and Greek language, the history of Greek and Roman antiquity from archaic times to the beginning of the Middle Ages, and Greek and Roman literature, philosophy, and culture. In addition, you can also engage with our colleagues in Archaeology and Egyptology who cover world (pre)history from the Mesolithic to the early Christian period from Britain to the Mediterranean and Egypt. For further details, please visit our departmental staff profiles website: https://www.alc.manchester.ac.uk/cahae/
We particularly welcome applications from students from backgrounds that are historically underrepresented in Higher Education, and are committed to supporting those communities that often have been marginalised.
