A remarkable conference dedicated to Mycenaean wall-paintings took place the weekend past at the National Research Institute, Greece. The conference, entitled Mycenaean Wall-Painting in Context attended by renowned scholars and young experts alike, was a window into new or little known material such as the unique for the mainland Greece extended scene of dolphins from Gla, a magnificent naval scene from Pylos and an outstanding hunting scene from Orchomenos. Speakers included Chr. Boulotis, Th. Spyropoulos, V. Aravantinos while Efi Sakellaraki, widow of the late Yannis Sakellarakis, chaired one of the sessions.
