The Department of Classics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the College of Arts and Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track appointment in Roman archaeology at the rank of assistant professor. Preference will be given to applicants with a developed research plan based on primary fieldwork. Applicants should have the Ph.D. in hand at time of application; indicate teaching and research interests that are complementary to existing strengths in the archaeology program (http://classics.unc.edu/); and demonstrate excellence in research and a commitment to teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels.
