The Acropolis Museum will celebrate its fourth birthday on Thursday, June 20, 2013. On this day, the museum will remain open from 8.oo a.m. until midnight. Its restaurant will also be open from 8.00 a.m. to 12.00 midnight. Admission fee will be reduced (3 euros).
Museum visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the secret stories of the preserved parts of the Parthenon frieze, with the help of the archaeologists-curators, 3D special screenings in the Parthenon Gallery.
The same evening, at 9.00 p.m., the Wind Instrument Philharmonic Orchestra of the Municipality of Athens will accompany the guided tour of the visitors at the front yard, with popular melodies from the international repertoire.
Also, at the Museum shop visitors can find two new items: the reproduction of the head of Poseidon and the head of Artemis from the eastern Parthenon frieze.
