The DAI Madrid and the École des Hautes Études Hispaniques et Ibériques (Casa de Velázquez) are organizing a joint workshop for doctoral students, which will take place in Madrid between 16 and 20 June 2014. The focus of this year’s event will be on travel and exploration on land and sea from the 9th c. BC to the time of Claudius Ptolemy (2nd c. AD). It is aimed at doctoral students of Classical Archaelogy, Prehistory, Ancient History and Historical Geography. Workshop languages will be Spanish, French, German, Italian and English.
