The 3-day Learning Exchange of the Network of European Museum Associations (NEMO) offers the opportunity to know the Danish museum landscape, learn about the Danish museums’ legislation and how the Danish Museums Association organizes political lobby and training activities for Danish museum professionals. Participants will exchange knowledge with their colleagues and make several study visits in museums.
The Learning Experience will take place in Copenhagen from January 21 to January 23 2016.

Interested participants should send the following documents to NEMO’s office at [email protected]: a) Proof of membership at NEMO, b) Letter of motivation and expectation (max. 1 page).
The selection process will be carried out by NEMO’s executive board and the hosting organization. Applicants will be notified about the results mid-November 2015.
About the programme
The leading principle of NEMO’s activites for members is to empower the network to help professionalize museum work through exchanging and discussing with colleagues from other countries. The aim of the learning exchange is to add to the experience of museum organization staff members and to strengthen cross-border work. The learning exchanges are free of costs for NEMO members after a successful application.
NEMO covers the following costs for each applicant in connection with the exchange:
-Expenses can only be reimbursed AFTER the exchange upon submission of ORIGINAL receipts
-The use of taxis can only be reimbursed in compliance with the German Travel Act (before 6 am or after 11 p, or with overweight luggage or physical impairment).
