Christ’s College, Cambridge, invites applications for a Junior Research Fellowship in Egyptology supported by the Lady Wallis Budge Fund.  It will be tenable for four years from not later than 1st October 2019 and is
not renewable. Open to candidates who hold a first degree, or a
higher degree or who are studying for a higher degree.  Candidates
are advised that a Research Fellowship is intended for a researcher
early in their career. A successful applicant is expected to be
either a graduate student, in the latter stages of research leading
to a PhD Degree (or equivalent) or a post-doctoral researcher who
has completed their PhD Degree after 1st January 2017.

College by 12:00 noon on Thursday 3rd January 2019 and should include
a curriculum vitae with details of qualifications, publications and
experience, a research statement and the names and addresses of two
persons who have agreed to act as academic referees.  Candidates must

so that references are received by the same closing date of noon on
Thursday 3rd January 2019.  Candidates shortlisted for this position
(expected to be advised by Monday 14th January 2019) will be required
to submit to the College samples of their written work (not exceeding
20,000 words) for assessments by Monday 21st January 2019 and selected
candidates may be invited to the College for interview in the week
commencing 4th March 2019.
