The Department of Classics & Ancient History at Durham invites expressions of interest from candidates with well-developed proposals who wish to apply to the Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship or British Academy Post-Doctoral Fellowship schemes through Durham University. We are especially interested in hearing from eligible candidates who complement our existing research strengths.

Both Fellowships aim to provide opportunities for career development for those who are at a relatively early stage of their academic careers, but with a proven record of research. Further information about the schemes will appear here:

The scheme deadlines are mid-September for MC and mid-October for BA, but anyone interested must have secured the support of a staff member in the Department to collaborate on their proposal before 25 July 2022, with a view to submitting a full draft for internal competitive review by noon on 19 August.
