Manchester Metropolitan University is pleased to invite expressions of interest to the upcoming Horizon Europe Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowships call. This prestigious scheme provides support to exceptional early career researchers and involves international mobility.
We have had great success with applications in History and Ancient History for this scheme, including scores of 100%. Applicants whose Expressions of Interest are selected by the University to be taken forward, will be fully supported in developing their full application, both by their proposed Sponsor and the University’s Research team.
Our collective research specialism across the ancient world include: Archaeology and Heritage of the prehistoric world, particularly Britain; ancient Greek military history and psychology of battle; Roman imperial social history, particularly Egypt; Coptic papyrology; Egyptology; ancient childhood, family and demography. The MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships support the mobility of postdoctoral researchers through two routes: European Postdoctoral Fellowships and Global Postdoctoral Fellowships.
European Postdoctoral Fellowships (1-2 years in duration)
Open to eligible researchers of any nationality moving within Europe or coming to Europe from another part of the world. Fellowships are hosted in an EU Member State or Horizon Europe Associated Country (including the UK).
Global Postdoctoral Fellowships (2-3 years duration)
Open to eligible nationals or long-term residents of EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries (including UK). The fellowships include an outgoing (Global) phase in a country which is neither an EU Member State nor a Horizon Europe Associated Country. This is followed by a mandatory 12 month return phase in an EU Member State or Associated Country.
