The Department of History at University College London is delighted to be able to invite applications for the Tassi PhD Scholarship (2026), established by a generous private donation, which offers full funding for three years of PhD research in the field of ancient Greek history.

The proposed research may concern any subject within the range of supervisory expertise on ancient Greece available within the History Department, as offered by Julietta Steinhauer (Associate Professor in Hellenistic History; see https://www.ucl.ac.uk/history/people/academic-staff/dr-julietta-steinhauer ) and Paola Ceccarelli (Professor of Greek History: see https://www.ucl.ac.uk/history/people/academic-staff/professor-paola-ceccarelli ).

Deadline for applications is 19 January 2026, with interviews in the week commencing 9 February 2026.
