Classics and Ancient History at Manchester intends to award the ‘Lees Scholarship’, for PhD research in the field of Latin Language or Literature (including, e.g., poetry, oratory, historiography); this award covers Home/EU tuition fees for up to three years.

To be considered for the Lees Scholarship, applicants should apply for PhD funding from the AHRC through the North West Consortium or for a President’s Doctoral Scholarship (PDS) at Manchester or School of Arts, Languages and Cultures PhD funding from Manchester by Friday, 13 February 2015 (for full details please visit the Fees and funding page for postgraduate research). To apply for PhD funding in these competitions, candidates will have to have submitted their online application for a place on their PhD programme by Friday, 23 January 2015.
