The third King’s College London Classics Postgraduate Conference will be held on 2nd and 3rd of June 2015. The theme of the conference is ‘Ancient Perspectives on the Past and the Future’. The conference will be held at the King’s building Strand campus.

A preoccupation with the past, the future, and their relationship to the present is apparent in most cultures, including those of Classical Antiquity. This conference will deal with how Greeks and Romans perceived any aspect of their past, or imagined their future, from their historical or literary present, and how such retrospective/prospective stances affected the experience and interpretation of their own world.

Registration for the conference is now open. The conference is free to attend and coffee breaks, lunch and drinks receptions will be provided.

Keynote addresses will be delivered by Dr Emily Pillinger (King’s College London) and Professor Christopher Pelling (Oxford).
