The School of History, Classics and Archaeology at Newcastle University invites applications to the new round of the Leverhulme Early Career Fellowship competition. The deadline set by the Leverhulme Trust for this scheme is 10 March 2016. Applicants are typically expected to be within five years of their PhD award.

We would be keen to hear from potential candidates whose interests overlap with those of staff at Classics and Ancient History at Newcastle:

Interdisciplinary projects ranging across the three Subject Areas represented at the School would also be especially welcome.

Details on the scheme may be found at https://www.leverhulme.ac.uk/funding/grant-schemes/early-career-fellowships

Anyone interested in applying through Newcastle should contact Dr Federico Santangelo ([email protected]) by 21 December 2015 with a brief summary of their proposed research and an indication of the member(s) of staff with whom they would like to collaborate during the tenure of the Fellowship.  Informal queries would of course be most welcome. It is anticipated that an internal competition will take place in January and February 2016.
