The Collaborative Research Centre (CRC) 923 “Bedrohte Ordnungen” (“Threatened Orders”) at the University of Tuebingen invites applications for a fixed-term position (m/f/d, salary level TV-L E13, 65%) as part of a project on gender and empire in ancient Rome (250 BCE – 50 CE). The appointment is to begin as soon as possible. It will last until June 30, 2023.

At the time of the application potential applicants should have completed or should be in the process of completing an MA in Ancient History and/or Classical Studies. The position offers the opportunity of obtaining further academic qualification in the form of a PhD.

The duties of the appointee include conducting research and writing a monograph related to the project as well as participating in the core events of the CRC (colloquia, workshops etc.). Further details will be discussed in the interview for the position.

In case of equal qualification and experience severely handicapped people will given preference.
