Currently one PhD scholarship is available at the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen (Netherlands), sponsored by the Young Academy Groningen.
The PhD position is intended for a classicist who has an affinity for computational linguistics.
A topic in the field of Ancient Greek polytheism will be studied, making use of traditional philological methods as well as the latest methods of natural language processing.
The working title of the project is: Understanding Ancient Greek gods through Natural Language Processing.
Supervisors are: Dr. Saskia Peels-Matthey en Prof. dr. Malvina Nissim.
