The Fifth British Egyptology Congress (BEC) is set to be held online over September and October 2020; registration is now open.

BEC provides a platform for researchers across the world to present their ongoing projects and discoveries to a broad audience of peers and the wider public through presentations or posters.

The British Egyptology Congress is held by the Egypt Exploration Society every two years in collaboration with a British host institution. In 2020, the host institution is Durham University; due to COVID-19, Congress will be held online over September and October 2020. For details of the event, please click on the EES website here.

Each Congress panel takes the form of a separate event allowing you to register for those panels that you wish to attend. The Congress is completely FREE to attend; instead, social events are charged for in order to raise the necessary funds to support the Zoom platform.

If you have any questions regarding the Congress, then please email[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>
