The annual Archaeological Meeting on the 2019-2020 excavations in Macedonia and Thrace, will take place from April 22 to 24, 2021 with 81 announcements and 204 participants. The Conference will be held online and is being organized by the Department of History and Archaeology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the Ministry of Culture and Sports.

For the 33rd time, archaeologists from the Archaeological Service, Universities and foreign Archaeological Schools will present the results of their excavations, archaeological and archaeometric documentation of their data and the projects for enhancing the monuments in Macedonia and Thrace.

Insight resulting from the fruitful research has been directly transmitted to the international scientific community through these archaeological meetings, issued without fail every year since 1987.

The commencement of the Conference will be announced by the Rector of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Professor Nikolaos G. Papaioannou, on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 9.00.
