Royal Holloway, University of London’s Department of Classics will be supporting applications to this year’s British Academy’s Postdoctoral Fellowship scheme within any area covered by the department’s research expertise.

Prospective applicants can find more information about staff and research, especially Royal Holloway’s commitment to Engaged Classics, at https://www.royalholloway.ac.uk/research-and-teaching/departments-and-schools/classics/research/.

The University particularly welcomes applications from researchers who belong to under-represented and marginalized groups and directly interested applicants to our departmental statement on inclusivity at https://www.royalholloway.ac.uk/research-and-teaching/departments-and-schools/classics/studying-here/undergraduate/inclusivity/

Interested applicants should contact the departmental research lead, Liz Gloyn ([email protected]), with a one-page outline of their proposed project and a one page CV by noon on Friday 3rd September 2021; they should also identify a potential mentor in the department, with whom they may wish to make contact in advance.

The details of the last year’s scheme are available at https://www.thebritishacademy.ac.uk/funding/postdoctoral-fellowships/; while these will be updated in August, they are likely to be substantially similar to last year’s guidance.
