The Department of Classics & Archaeology and its world-leading research Centre for Spartan and Peloponnesian Studies (CSPS) at the University of Nottingham welcome applications from prospective applicants to the British Academy’s Postdoctoral Fellowship Scheme. The British Academy competition is now open, with a deadline for receipt of applications on 12 October 2022. Applicants who would like to be hosted by the CSPS at the University of Nottingham must submit an outline (two-page) research proposal and a full CV to the Department of Classics and Archaeology Director of Research Professor Hannah O’Regan ([email protected]) and to the CSPS Director Dr Chrysanthi Gallou ([email protected]) by Monday 22 August 2022. Informal enquiries may be made to Dr Gallou ([email protected]).

Outline proposals will be subject to an internal competition within the Faculty of Arts at the University of Nottingham. Applicants who are successful at this stage will receive specialist support from the University to complete the full application process to the British Academy before the competition deadline on 12 October 2022.
