“The Suicide of Atzesivano”: Comments on the Imagery of the Poem

The elements composing the imagery of the poem “The Suicide of Atzesivano” derive from the Greek folk tradition, modern Greek poetry, ritual terminology of the Eleusinian Mysteries and from Euripides’ Hypsipyle.
