This is a new permanent post for an experienced scholar, reflecting the continued strength of Classics and Ancient History at Warwick, as evidenced both in increasing numbers of students and in the recent strong research performance in REF 2014. It offers an opportunity for an expert in Latin Literature to join a vibrant and friendly department in a research-intensive university.
Particularly welcomed are applications from scholars with interests in Latin prose, philosophy, and Reception studies, but applicants with any expertise in Latin literature to apply would be invited. The department currently works closely with the Centre for Renaissance Studies, the Italian Department within the School for Modern Languages, the English Department, and the Philosophy Department, but would welcome opportunities to develop teaching and research alongside colleagues in other departments and faculties.
