Cheating in Ancient Myth

Articles for forthcoming volume of e-journal Electra

The e-journal “Electra” welcomes submissions of articles for its forthcoming volume (due to appear in 2018), which will exclusively focus on “Cheating in Ancient Myth”. Contributors are encouraged to explore all aspects of “cheating”, understood in its widest sense as “art of deceit”, in both Greek and Roman mythological tradition. In particular, the volume seeks to highlight “cheating” as a multidimensional narrative pattern and analyze its multifaceted manifestations in all thematic fields (e.g. warfare, love affairs, sympotic context, etc.), against both human and divine backdrops.

All submissions must be original and written in one of the following languages: Greek, English, French, German, Italian or Spanish. Please, send your submission directly to the chief editor of “Electra”, Professor Menelaos Christopoulos ([email protected]).

Deadline for submissions: 28th February 2018 (NB the deadline will be strictly observed).
