The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities is launching, in collaboration
with its partners from scientific and archaeological institutes, a series
of virtual guided video tours of a number of museums and
archaeological sites around Egypt.

This initiative comes within the framework of the ministry’s efforts to
enable people worldwide to explore and enjoy the ancient Egyptian
civilization during their home confinement, within the precautionary
measures taken to fight Coronavirus (Covid19) outbreak.

The tours will be available on the Ministry’s official website and
Social Media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Experience
Egypt), under the slogan: “Experience Egypt from Home. Stay Home.
Stay Safe.”

The first of these tours was launched on April 3, 2020 in cooperation with the American Research Center in Cairo (ARCE).

It explored the Menna Tomb in Theban Necropolis, considered as
one of the most beautiful tombs of the nobles on Luxor’s West Bank.
It dates back to the 18th Dynasty.
