The Centre for the Study of Classical Architecture at the University of Cambridge would like to announce that we are now accepting applications for two post-doctoral Research Associate positions at the Centre to start in post October 2024. Applicants must have completed or be very close to completing a PhD degree on any aspect of classical architectural history, design and/or urbanism broadly defined. Those with a PhD should have completed within the last five years. Those who have not yet submitted must submit before they start the post and will be expected to do so and to start no later than 31 October 2024. Applications are welcome from those with academic backgrounds in architectural/art history, architecture, history, design studies and other disciplines (such as geography) where they have developed a strong research record in architecture relating to the ancient Graeco-Roman world or classical architecture of the Renaissance onwards. The deadline for application is 22 July by midnight GMT.
Both positions are full-time, and the post-holders will be required to reside in Cambridge and become fully engaged in the work of the CSCA and the relevant University Faculty/Department.
