We invite researchers and scholars specializing in 3rd millennium BCE Egypt to present on recent discoveries and new research projects, as part of an event designed to foster collaboration amongst colleagues from different parts of the world. OKAA serves as an academic forum where specialists in the Old Kingdom share new archaeological, art historical, material culture, architectural and textual data, as well as innovative perspectives on ancient Egypt during the 3rd millennium BCE.
The aim of the 9th OKAA conference is to create a friendly environment that strengthens scientific collaboration and exchange amongst attendees. We are looking for engaging and thought-provoking presentations that push the boundaries of current knowledge and inspire future research. Those who present will be given the opportunity to publish a written version of their paper in the conference proceedings. The abstracts will be reviewed following a blind review process. While the audience will be able to attend remotely, only in-person presentations will be accepted.
