The Department of Classics and Ancient History at the University of Bristol invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for two temporary teaching fellowships, one in Latin and one in Ancient History, each of ten months’ duration from 1 September 2015. The successful candidates will be expected to contribute to and develop the department’s provision of teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level in Latin language, literature and culture and in Ancient History, especially Greek history, respectively. Candidates should normally have received their PhD by the date of appointment. An active research record will be an advantage.

Closing date for applications: 18th June. Short-listed candidates will be notified on or around 26th June, and will be asked to submit a sample of work by 1st July. It is expected that interviews will take place in the week beginning 13th July.
