EACC 26 – 10th Anniversary Conference
Egyptological–Assyriological Conference in Copenhagen
April 22nd–24th, 2026 | Theme: A Journey Beyond

In 2015, a group of Egyptology students in Copenhagen initiated the first Egyptological Conference in Copenhagen (ECC). Their aim was to create a forum where BA, MA, and PhD students could practise delivering academic presentations and receive constructive feedback from experienced scholars.

Over the years, the conference evolved into an annual international event, attracting both students and experienced researchers. The formal inclusion of Assyriology in 2023 led to the formation of the Egyptological–Assyriological Conference in Copenhagen (EACC). Following a brief break in 2024, the conference returned in 2025 and will reach a special milestone in 2026: EACC-26 marks the 10th anniversary of the conference and will be a celebratory event.

Theme: A Journey Beyond

Drawing inspiration from the evolving journey of the conference itself, this year’s theme invites a broad range of contributions addressing the notion of journeys in antiquity, modern times, and the afterlife.
