600,000€ of the NSRF funds have been earmarked to enhance the archaeological site of Delphi. The decision was made by the governor of Central Greece Region, Klearchos Pergantas.

The project includes the enhancement, remodelling and preservation of the Delphi site, in particular, the Sanctuary of Apollo, the Sanctuary of Athena Pronaia, the Gymnasium and the Castalian Spring.

Topographic surveys to define the boundaries of the Sanctuary of Apollo and the museum area, conservation of the mosaic floors and cleaning-consolidation of the monuments’ surfaces, construction and placement of the copy of the Plataean Tripod’s bronze stand are expected to be carried out within the framework of the project.

In addition, the project foresees interventions aiming at an overall functional and aesthetic enhancement of the site, as well as interventions aiming at better accessibility conditions for people with disabilities.
